Fishing Basics with Bob Baker, Sr.

 
Dates: June 20, July 18, August 22
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am (will start promptly at 9:00 am)
Place: Chik-Wauk Nature Center
Participants: limited to 18 students maximum
Ages: 8 – 15 years
Registration: Must pre-register for this program at least 1 week prior to dates.
 
A two hour classroom program on the basics of fishing
 
The class will touch on:
Identify fish species from our area
Techniques on how to catch a fish
Equipment and tackle that may be used
How to tie a knot
Where would be a good place to fish – rock piles, weedbeds
How to clean a fish
Fishing safety
Rules and regulations 

Parents and children not of age may be able to sit in the back of the classroom or hike around the property until Chik-Wauk Museum opens at 10:00 am.

This program is free and limited to 18 students, register early to make sure your child has a spot.
