Activities
Please touch! Hands-on activities ahead.
Dress up as Voyageur, lumberjack, or wildland firefighter, build your own continental divide, jump as a far as frog, or become a wildlife detective. Be prepared to get a little dirty, and maybe a little wet.The Gunflint Trail Explorers activity bins are all about hands-on exploration. Each bin presents activities around a specific Northwoods topic: frogs and toads, maps and orienteering, plants and wildflowers, lumberjacks and trees, water, wildfire, wildlife, and the Voyageurs.
Visit the Chik-Wauk Nature Center where activity bins have all the materials you need for an hour or two of active outdoor play. You can also do the activities at home; the activity guides below provide you with instructions and a list of all the supplies you need.
